St. Mary's School Honors Dr. Mowl during the I-90 Classic

The “I-90 Classic” is an annual basketball event between Rochester School for the Deaf and Buffalo’s St. Mary’s School for the Deaf.

“I-90” refers to the New York State Thruway (Interstate I-90) which connects the two 4201 Schools Association of New York State schools. The Classic features middle school co-ed and varsity girls and boys basketball games.

During half-time of the middle school game, St. Mary’s Athletic Director Jim Carmody, RSD Athletic Director Mary Cook and St. Mary’s Superintendent Tim Kelly, honored RSD Superintendent Dr. Harold Mowl.

Mr. Kelly presented Dr. Mowl with a beautiful plaque in the shape of New York State. The inscription reads: “I-90 Classic” Recognition Award Presented to Dr. Harold Mowl For his support of athletics and years of service and loyalty to Deaf  Education. January 23, 2014.”
